Raising money for homeless veterans

As an ex squaddie this is something that really sits heavy with me, far too many of our military personnel are existing on the streets so I have signed up to the above, the requirement is 1 night but I have pledged to spend 1 night under the stars for every £100 I raise, every little helps so if this is something you feel worthy please donate, every little helps, I'm willing to bet the kids at school would love to see me freeze my backside off, knowing my luck it will rain too

I see so many fake homeless people begging where I live , most of them are just unemployed drug addicts but they sit outside shops and traffic lights all day - offer go buy them a drink or something to eat and they tell you they have eaten but if you have any spare change that will help them .. happy to help a genuine cause .
Edit - I’ve sent a donation and I hope others will follow , hope you have got a good sleeping bag and plenty of thermals. Good luck

Yeah, i used to see it all the time in London, it's a career for some of them and a lucrative one at that, I looked into this one quite a bit first to make sure its legit before signing up, I was lucky to have a supportive family when I left, so many don't have that help and support.

It’s difficult for me to think of defending my country or another nation and ending up homeless when you leave or your services no longer reqd . I won’t get political but it should not happen under any circumstances..

I'm actually at £140 as there is a Facebook page and a justgiving page it's a bit confusing but it's working so far

Not me squire! (If I'm the sort of vociferous lefty you had in mind!)
Lefties don't hold with homelessness either, you might be surprised to hear.
I've chipped in to Shelter on many occasions, in support of the homeless of all sorts, including homeless veterans too, quite rightly.
