Hi Philly
Great idea :) , I would like to come but I will have to see what is happening nearer the date, so I will try to keep that date open :D

Just a cynical thought Philly, wondering about the entrance fees etc. you aren't going to be in house decorating/shop fitting mode about that time by any chance are you?

Great idea Philly.

My folks are in Wimbourne so I know the area. Where abouts in Poole are you?

If you check the forum rules you'll see that anyone who is a Sketchup guru is automatically banned from holding meetings at their house :^o

Oops! Didn't mean to break the rules.

Well, it sounds like fun. Could I count on someone to bring my dish to pass and to eat my share of the food?

Well if I've got to bring my own food

I'll be there Philly, do we know anyone thats appeared in any of the WW mags? Just thought that this might have the possibilities of being a mag piece.

Would it be alright if I brought Martin along?

Philly,
Can I send my exact menu requirements to your missus with a note saying 'He said it would be OK!' :p :p
I think it is a great idea and would love to come and see the new shop etc.
Regards

Tim-sorted! Be nice if you could make it. Poole is lovely that time of year

Indeed it is - I was dragged up in Canford Cliffs - full of grockles (emmetts for Alf) as well though.

Cheers

Tim

No entrance fee-although you may be pressed into "turning demonstrator" duty
Waka
Fear not-I have had "preliminary" discussions with the Missus. I'm sure we will have the catering sorted. Although Martin might be pushing his luck
Simon
Just moved to Broadstone.
Cheers
Philly :D

No, no, no, no, no NO, NO NO !!!

You lot are just falling into Philly's trap - he wants to set a new world record for mass gloating, and you are all innocent dupes in his fiendish plans!!

:D :D

Just kidding!! I would love to make it, but sadly time constraints simply will not allow it. Another time maybe...

You bet-or we could meet at Pennyfarthing Tools?

Philly - suggest you send me a PM when you next come to Salisbury and PFT, you could call in for a brew and some munchies, have a look at my set up and talk about boys stuff in the workshop, or I don't mind having a run down to Poole to meet others, depends entirely on what is easiest to arrange - Rob

What a great idea mate - not to mention gloater's heaven

Running a 'short course' at work that week but might make it to your house saturday afternoon; no chance of making the show though

Philly

A brilliant and generous idea. I was already beginning to get withdrawal symptoms at the mere thought of having to go through 2006 without mingling with other "tool heads". And I guess that Philly Towers must be the one place in England that holds almost as many shiny things as the APTC show in full swing.

We hope to be moving house sometime in August (fingers crossed) but unless things go very pear shaped on the domestic scene, I should love to come and gawp at Britain's greatest tool collection in private hands. You're only in the next county from me after all.

Regards.

Ah--if only! And I did see the invite on your blog, Philly!

Perhaps next year we might muster a trip. Too much going on at the moment--and the possibility of getting even busier soon is looming on the near horizon [been reading too many sea books... ].

So whoever can--go. I need a full report so I can live a little vicariously!

Take care, Mike
