I have now managed to get my hands on most of the important missing parts for my triton workcentre. I still need a pair of adjustment cams for mounting and aligning my triton saw to the chassis. I figure I might just possibly get away with just nipping up the clamps and do without the cams, but figure this may leave the saw vulnerable to fore/aft movement.
Any comments or ideas where I could get some (I have tried Northampton woodworking)
thanks
Simon

I emailed them last week about various parts, but never heard from them.
From Reading various threads I figured they no longer sold parts.
Simon.

It is unfortunate, as I bought my workcentre second hand with lots of parts missing, thinking I could get the parts at the prices on their site. I have actually ended up paying almost three times that. It has still worked out cheaper than a new table, though (and it was unused).
just need opinion on whether the cams are necessary and if so where I might get some.

The cams are designed to make it initially easier to deal with parallel alignment (i.e., blade to fence). Once this setting is aligned, the cams are locked down and act as location posts for refitting after removal. For that job, they're ideal.

There is, however, another way around it. If, as is usually the case, you only intend the saw to be used with the table and will not be removing it from its chassis for hand-held use, then there are two or three points on the saw base itself that will take a tapping and you could bolt the saw to its chassis once aligned to your satisfaction. Providing you drill the bolt holes accurately in the chassis, this method will be as good as the locked cams, but without the convenience of instant removal (for hand-held use).

I would be happy to use a couple of diagonally-opposed holes, but you may see an opportunity to use more. The difficulty with this option is in aligning in the first instance and keeping the alignment when drilling, but I'm sure that your ingenuity will find a way. :)

I got a few triton bits second hand complete without vital parts! You can get some http://www.woodworkingcentreshop.co.uk/ ... rking.html here for sure, spoke to the guy there last week and theres some on there way for me :)

Give the guy a call, really helpfull and i was after a couple of other bits as well which were sent out super quick, just got to wait for the cam locks till there in.

Edit : with the clamps done up tight and a couple of home made extra clamps theres been no play in my saw for the last week or so anyway.

I ordered some cams from Dennis at tritonwoodworking.co.uk yesterday. Excellent service.
Simon.
