As per the title does anyone know of any decent specialist timber merchants in Essex I have been asked by someone in Sydney Australia for help I have messaged him to get an idea of what type of timber he is after. I am also waiting to find out where abouts he will be staying but just some general answers may help him

EO Burton in Brentwood, generally do not stock exotics but they have got me them in the past. If you are after anything other than the norm I would suggest exotic timbers(timberline) in Kent or Surrey timbers

Thank you guys. The one in Maldon is the closest to where he will be. He is after some Laburnum but only a small amount due to fitting in a suitcase when he returns home, and yes he is aware of the custom rules about taking wood back into Australia.

There is a guy, who does tree felling and timber milling called Dunn. He has a yard alongside great Braxted wall. He may have Laburnum.
