This was going to be a funny post about heath and safety gone mad again but in the end it's turned into a warning about jumping to conclusions before the facts are known!

I pass this lamp post on the way home from work and it's been bugging me since they put it up over a year ago.
Can you see the problem, well I thought I could so I've been meaning to stop and take a picture of it to share with my friends and have a laugh.

I hoped it was going to say, ''If you can read this, you're 30ft off the ground''. :-D

Presume it's an insulated sleeve, around the steel lamp column but it seems a bizarre way of labelling the danger as any maintenance would be done from a Cherry Picker that in itself was at a greater risk than anyone's ability to scale the smooth pole and ground themselves by touching the earthed pole.

Just to clarify things I presumed that the sign would say "danger high voltage" etc. re the lamp on the post but now I realize that the danger is from the "nearby" over head wires you can see in the picture which I imagine really are carrying High voltages and you wouldn't want to lift your self into with a cherry picker with or without a hard hat.
