On the subject of the economy, I always knew Gordon Brown had mucked our gold reserves away but didn't realise it was totally against the advise of the Bank of England and the government is currently spending £4.00 for every £3.00 of revenue, try that for a few months yourself and see how your finances stand :roll:
 
Yeah but with the cash from gold sales he purchased Euros, and we didnt have any euros at all because it was a new currency, and they have done as good as gold as an investment.

I don't think so DW. Gold has quadrupled in price since Gordon successfully sold out at the bottom of the market.

I always use his decisions as a contrary indicator. So when DufGov bought a bank (N. Rock) my guess was that as the government had bought a bank the timing decision was probably as good as the one on gold, so I went short on financials. Worked a treat :)
