Finally got house move sorted so I'll be to get new workspace sorted soon. I'll be making a new router table but I'm unsure of the best way to mount my Makita router (2301). All my previous table mounted routers were Trends with pre drilled plates.

I've got a 10mm alu undrilled plate ready to use but a bit of advice would be appreciated. Is using m4 screws and using the plastic router base as a template a sufficient method?
Or would it be better to follow the trend sub base approach and use 2 m6 screws? I have the sub base pictured so could use that as a template.
Ideally, I'd like to use 4 m4 screws but thought I'd check there'd be no issues beforehand.
thanks

Hmm ! Just looking at my RP2301F today with a view to mounting it on a table, there is zip info in the manual and unlike my Elu 1/4" router no tapped holes in the base for mounting screws ?
Just started looking 5 mins ago so will keep hunting and watch this thread !
