Hi
I thought I would add a conclusion to a couple of topics which I started some time ago
building-pentagon-shaped-building-frames-t88874.html
lots-of-cladding-which-nail-gun-nails-t96410.html
I have added some pictures of the nearly finished article, I’m really pleased with it, it took an unbelievable amount of time to do!.
The method of framing I chose was to do lap joints at all the intersections, suitably strengthened with corner pieces. I used 6 x2 for the bottom half, 4 x 2 for the roof section.
Each frame was then then laminated on both sides with 12mm marine ply (glued and screwed). I made 10 off the them - all were very rigid! Thanks for the advice on this!
The nail gun I went with for the cladding was the Senco – brilliant piece of kit. I ran it off a 25l compressor with no issues. It just worked. I highly recommend it. Senco couldn’t have been more accommodating in supplying it.
You will notice from the internal pictures a few things not quite finished… maybe moving, so now trying to work out how to get it onto a lorry to move it 1.5 miles…answers on a postcard!
Thanks for all those would helped
Mark
