Excellent work Sue, the amount of effort to produce a 'negative' design over such an area shows a considerable amount of patience and concentration. The pattern balance is good a very striking random autumnal fallen leaves look.

Lovely pyrography there - and so difficult to do deep down inside an opening like that. I agree that the pyrography really improves the piece and makes it come alive.
I wish I had such patience and talent. I'd say you should leave a few others lying around next time you go for a wander or meeting. Lovely. Not something I've seen done often either. I think it looks all the better and more unusual for the leaves being left pale like this.
Some of us find it hard enough just to scribble their own name or little cartoon face with these things, nevermind a whole pattern in negative.
