I'm re-organising the workshop and one niggle has been the lack of an outfeed from the mitre saw. I've been using a Screwfix roller stand but felt that maybe a permanent hinged fixture was better. Then I got to thinking...why make it hinged? Why not make it a fully boxed in area with storage underneath? Then I realised that if I did this then I'd never be able to machine stock vertically in the Woodrat (not that I've actually used it over the last 2 years ).
So the best I can come up with are wheeled storage boxes where the height is that needed for the outfeed but they can be easily wheeled out when I need to use vertical stock in the WoodRat.
But...maybe there's something I've not thought about and a better solution?
This is the space...
