Stainless steel rulers.

I have a stainless rule that is 600mm/24" it is metric on one face and inches on the other. It is 28.5mm wide and 1mm thick and I like the layout and would like to buy a 150mm/6", a 300mm/12" and a 1000mm/36" of the same style of layout, thickness and width so that I could use my ruler stop on all 4 rulers.
The only clue to a maker of the one I have is a mark SME and I can't find a reference to that make so I am wondering if anyone can point me to good options for my needs.
I would like reasonable quality but they are for woodwork there fore need not be to the highest standard.

I have a few in 1 Metre, 600mm and 300mm. They can arrive with different brand names but the markings are very clear, they are always consistent with each other, and the stainless steel is a nice matt finish and about 1.2mm thick, so they are not flimsy.

I have got 3 Shinwa squares and am very pleased with them and would recommend them to anybody.
The problem with the rulers is that they are metric only and for some reason every length is a different width so I would need a stop for each one.

The Lee Valley rulers are metric and inches on the same side I want 1 side metric and the other in inches.

The Shinwa stuff is excellent. I had a square and a mitre until someone decided I no longer needed them. I bought a set of s/s rulers purely because the 18" one appealed - it was a good choice, because I probably use that one more than any of the others.

I’ve found this so bought a Woodpecker adjustable stop which fits rulers up to 38mm wide plus the quality is superb as you’d expect.

I use it on Fisher rules which have a satin finish & are really easy & clear to read they are towards the bottom of this page

I am sure that the Fisher rules are very good but at over £40 for the 1 mt rule I think they are above my needs.
The Advent rules look to be what I need and they are cheap enough for me to buy two 300mm long ones and cut one down to make a 150mm rule the same width as the others and use them all in the ruler stop I already have.

Office supply stores usually have the least expensive steel rules here - often $2-$5. I can't comment on the markings on your rule, but I can't see any real quality difference between the rules that I've bought for woodworking and the ones that just came from office supply. They're all "china" marked and stainless steel - the price difference is about a factor of 3-5, though.

Once you're past 24" here, though, it gets harder to find a good rule and tinners rules are the cheapest good rules that I've found - but they are marked inch only and the opposite side is for circular work or something (it almost looks like metric, but it's not close to the same scale).

I am sure there is nothing wrong with the Axminster rulers but they are metric only and I want both metric and inches one on one side and the other on the opposite side . I don't understand why most suppliers don't offer the option.
I have ordered an Advent rule at 300mm/12" long to see if they are good enough and if they are I will order a full set.

Just to bring this thread to a conclusion I am not a fan of high end overpriced tools but I do like the tools I buy to do the job I wanted them for.
Following the recommendation from skelph I purchased a 300mm Advent ruler just to make sure that it was what I wanted the price made me think that the quality may not be very good. All I can say it far exceeds my expectations so much so I have now ordered some more in different lengths and I would recommend them to anyone.
