some time ago my workshops were in brixton next to a market stall holder.
a friend of mine SAID she had seen a spider in the workshop about 3 inches across needless to say i did;nt believe her untill i saw it jeeez.i then noticed there were hundreds of em living in holes.
anyhoo caught one and took to the horniman museum turns out they were a relative of the funnel web .came over with the bananas quite nasty and aggresive [there words not mine] not very pc i blow torched em. :D

Not all spiders are good, I recently found out that 'ticks' are a member of the spider family and they are definately bad news, especially if they bite you and regurgitate some of the liquid into you. :shock:

Encphylitus (Sp?) and Lymmes disease are two of the nasties these spiders can give you. The latter having no cure 'tho rarely fatal, the former can be fatal.
