I did drag a pair of my Highballs [the round malteser looking ones] to the Cornflake shop

Hey, that's where I used to buy all my hifi gear, terrible place, cost me thousands.

Only kidding, loved it, best advice anywhere IMHO.

Hi

Great designs. We're not far from Oxfordshire, so if there's anything we can do to help please email me at the link below. I have a fair number of contacts with people who might be able to help.

If you haven't seen British Woodworking, I can send you a copy (as I will do for anyone who wants to see it for the first time).

Cheers

Nick

Thaks to all who contacted me and posted on this thread and I appreciate taking your time out to help.

My apologies for posting again, but I now have a firm design for a sub woofer and I'm looking for someone to help me machine the panels.

I've been looking at CNC, but as it's a one off the costs reach into the hundreds. It would actually be cheaper for me to buy a brand new sub woofer!

However I want to persist and wondered if anyone could help machine my design from 26mm Oak veneered MDF? I have the files in Sketchup which I can export out as DXF or I can dimension flat drawings if preffered.

Apologies to those who got in touch initially and that I have lost contact with.

Hmmm... I'm slightly confused. I've not read the entire thread but did recall your original request. I thought, at the time, you were looking for a partner to do production runs and that's what I interpret from your original having re-read it. However, your latest post describes this as just a one-off.

In the case of the former I may just know of a workshop who may be willing to machine the parts and, if required, construct the cabinets.

Just to clarify, it was always my intention to strike a partnership with a furniture maker who wanted to include speakers to their existing product line up.

In return I was happy to help fund prototyping or engage in a skills exchange where I offered my design and they were happy to help with the manufacture of projects both for themselves and myself..

Following my most recent post I've now made some good contacts which I hope to capitalise on, and I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone here for their contribution.

Thank you for getting in touch, I'll email you my designs via your website, as the email form here doesn't allow attachments.

Anybody else having trouble getting to the website www.8ballaudio.com?
Using OpenDNS as my DNS server it can't find it.
Using automatic connection through my provider (Virgin Media) it also can't find it (Addre

I can't ping it either, whilst I can ping eg. this site.

Not that I can offer help in speaker cabinet design, just interested in looking...

No I can't get to the site, and neither will anyone else.
A Whois lookup shows it as 'not renewed'. The domain has entered teh redemption period so it would cost a good few quid to get back.
