Hello again

I'm about to set about tidying up a nice old sander that Homer's Double very kindly has given me.

One of the adjustment knobs is borken:

Any suggestions for source of a replacement?
The thread is 3/8" 16G I think. I can replace with a metric (M8 or M10) as the bolt is not captive, but I'd like to stay as true to original as possible.
The wheel is 63mm diameter. It looks like the threaded sleeve is inserted in the bakelite and there's some sort of square insert in the end of the cap too, but I can't loosen the bakelite and daren't try too hard in case I break the rest of it.

I think an original spare is very unlikely as google has never heard of the brand!

Thanks

options:-
1) make a wooden one as a replacement
2) make a rubberised mould and then fill with resin + the bolt
3) turn a replacement from a resin blank

Oooh. I like the idea of turning a wooden one. I shall get a bit more gung ho with my attempts to remove the current bakelite from the sleeve.
