Solid wood furniture board (not pine)

Hi
I have a request to make a console style dressing table for my wife.
I want to use oak or alternative furniture board. It will be fairly simple construction, probably dowels and glue.
I'm struggling to source the board locally, many of the local timber yards sell shelves but nothing wider than about 250mm.
Has anyone got any suggestions in the West Midlands?
Also has anyone used these?
Much cheaper than oak but similar visually.

Those boards, they say "Unlike oak these boards are not heavy and so are easy to handle and cut." so are they a laminate or what ? They do look good for a furniture application though.

They look to be planks glued together from this photo. Just says 'hardwood'
I have seen them used in a campervan build on YouTube, because of the weight. They looked ok
