I work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Friday I have our young kids whilst SWMBO goes to work.

So not much shop time for me.......
Cheers

I'm in the commercial workshop from 7.30am til 4.30pm monday to thursday and 7.30am-2pm on fridays and then 6.30am-10.30am on saturdays! I try and get home and try to carry on in my private workshop on saturdays til about 4pm.

:!: Probably too much woodwork for anyone!

I have a fairly standard 8.30- 6pm job as i have no kids I am quite lucky in the hobby time stakes. I normally get a 1/2 day or full day on the weekend and an evening or two a week. With the weather picking up I have the competion between going climbing and woodworking. Plus I have just started a refurb of my new house. Never enough time.
I am a bit disappointed to here that being retired means you dont have much time I was looking forward to some more free time in 30 years.

I am semi retired (I work two days a week) and so is my wife and I try to work it that we do not work all the same days so that I can play uninterrupted in the workshop.
Sadly my wife has decided to retire fully so I think my play time will become much more restricted :(
However my wife has been staying with my younger daughter for a couple of weeks so it's been 12hrs a day play time :D
She is coming back on Saturday so tomorrow is a big house tidying day!

I also have a 9 to 5 job but I do have the added advantage of working at home. This means that on somedays I can get into the shed for half an hour at lunch time. Other than that its the usual story of grabbing an hour when ever I can. Most weeknights are busy as are the weekends.

I also work shifts, but am in the lucky position of being part-time as well. I do 3 on, 5 off which sounds like loads of time for the shop, however with a wife that works full-time shifts and 2 young children I seem to spend most of my time doing school runs/sorting kids out/feeding kids/seperating fighting kids/housework etc...

Looking forward to the day when the kids are old enough to either look after themselves or help me in the shop :D
