Shockwave Acrylic from Axi

Here's one i made on Sunday... (hammer)

and sold on Monday...

Its an Empress pen kit using a Shockwave Acrylic Blue & Red blank... both from Axi
(sorry about the naff lighting... the second pic is more realistic of the colours)

That's a really nice blank. I looked at the shockwaves but it's hard to see what they're going to look like when turned. Look great!

I'm not so keen on the gold detailing but it's a lovely looking, well balanced pen.

I bought a 'bunch' of different blanks last Xmas and only just getting round to trying them.

I agree, the gold accents are a bit OTT.... almost (dare i say) naff....
but to be honest the combination of kit and this blank does make it look the dogs doodahs in the 'flesh' (mustn't be too harsh on the kit tho as it was one of these that won me the pen comp that Mr Dodge ran earlier this year :wink: ) but thanks for the compliment all the same
