In an idle moment last night I had a quick read through Chris Waterheads' review of the Carbatec carbide burnisher reviewed here . I bought one of these a few years ago and hadn't thought to use it on the edge of a card scraper. I've just been out to the 'shop and tried it on old my crappy old card scrapers. Hold the scraper in the left hand, lightly draw the triangular carbide bit over the edge a couple of times, holding it at about the correct hook angle...two perfect edges, two seconds  Absolutely fantastic :D - Rob

Hi Rob,

Chris showed us that burnisher at Dave's bash earlier in the year. He really does carry it about in his pocket :) It obviously works........

Cheers

I don't think it's stocked any more by Axminster...I know I bought mine several years ago at the last but one show. If anyone knows who stocks them they're definitely a great buy. It was a revelation to me to see just how easily the edge can be turned on a scraper blade
Edit - have just found the link here to the Carbcut 2 -Rob
