Search bar always blocked by adverts

Has anybody noticed that whenever you use the search function you can't see the buttons as pop up ads always block it, can't click to do search as it opens the adverts. Very Annoying.

Have you blocked ads in your preferences?

I've blocked ads in preferences and it's made no difference. Ads still show up and get in the way. It's no good suggesting membership and "you can therefore block ads@ if it doesn't work. Or am I doing something wrong or have misunderstood?

Please look at the "Advertising options:" in your account preferences to ensure you have disabled advertising. Click on your username in the upper right corner of the screen and then click on "Preferences". Save your changes by clicking on "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
