Well done, Jason. That machine type has a single mortise chisel like this and is also referred to as an oscillating mortiser. In fact they come in horizontal, angled and vertical formats. Very useful for door and window work, even the manual feed ones can chop out a mortise in a 4in door stile in under a minute (so a tad quicker than a chain or square chisel, then, but boy are they noisy!). The more generic name is a "Maka mortiser" after (I believe) the original German patentees, who are better known for 5-axis CNC routers these days. Any idea what the fifth type of mortiser is? The clue is that they are definitely a post WWII French invention.
