No, it's where you get mentored to improve work flow or output.
It is a very good programme which brings in a business perspective for crafts folks who perhaps don't always have that as their strongest skill...
So it might challenge them on for example:
- are they making what the market wants
- are they making commercially (e.g. tweak how you do something and make 3x the same number in that timespan = 1/3 cost)
- how are they selling
- are they pricing correctly

It is good because so many crafts folks are very focused on their own interpretation of what is ideal and don't necessarily have the ability to have that external perspective / ability to self-analyse...

well put together - some of the crafts folk are superb - others you wonder why they are trying to make a living, but the experts tease out of them what they are good at and refocus them...

Good luck!
I did a prog 25ish years ago with Tommy Walsh, on sash window renovations. A day's work (unpaid) and quite good fun. Prog was OK. I thought it might be the start of my brilliant TV career but nothing much came of it! A bit of good publicity though.

So at great risk of making a complete idiot of myself and having been under a non-disclosure agreement since the summer I can now start telling people that last summer I was filmed for 3 days in total for BBC1's daytime show, Make it at Market.

I am slightly concerned at the angle that may be taken about a finish I was using (100% food safe varnish), a piece I had completed was subbed for one not quite done (I thought it was for background only, but the surface was mentioned) , and as I had a lot going on in family life at the time I barely sold anything in the time frame BUT it was an experience, time will tell and If i get a few weeks solid work out of it making stuff it will be worth it.

If you watch it, BBC1 Thursday 13 march, please be kind!
Post up a reminder nearer the day, would like to see it.
