I wonder when they're going to formally announce the event. Interested to see what else is going on.

It was announced before Xmas on the The Woodworker`s site, Get Woodworking, though its not on the home page anymore, someone bought it up on their forum.

I've only quickly scanned through this thread, but I can't see it. What are the details of the 'special' event for UKW? Is this still happening? If so when, where, etc?

Tom - don't confuse the two events. The Rycotewood Hand Tool Event is on the weekend of the 12th & 13th Feb, whilst the UKW 'Special Doo' is Monday 15th 6-8pm at the High Wycombe branch of Ax - Rob

Cheers, I wasn't confusing the two events, I just couldn't remember the details of the 'special doo'

Getting round the M25 at rush hour is going to be interesting. Might have to come up early and 'hang around' in the shop.

So not in any way a special event just for us lot. In which case I won't bother and I'll go to the Sittingbourne one.

I am intending to go to Rycotewood on the Saturday but now pondering about supporting the Axminster event as it seems to be open to all others?

Does anybody know if the West Dean Event is on this year?
LN generally demo there and a much nicer place for me to get to?

I don't think so this year - check with CHT to be sure, but got a feeling it'll be missed this year.

Not sure I'll bother either Tom, like you I thought it was being put on specially and therefore felt I ought to make the effort, but if it's just a general thing don't think it's anything special to justify the effort and mileage of an evening.

Just watched all the LN demo's on youtube over the weekend anyway !

A pity about West Dean - nice venue apart from parking amongst the sheep droppings!

I spoke to Mike last year and he said the College were not that appreciative of our cousins from across the pond - perhaps they are a bit out of touch?

Looks like it will be Yandles then?
