Router tables - cast iron or MDF & resin?

I have the UJK cast table, but made my own frame for it to sit on, the UJK frame is a bit flimsy for the price. cast iron is the way to go for total flatness at all times in all conditions. but you do have to protect the top from rust. Easy enough to do though.
