From the point of view of someone who's a real sceptic when it comes to religion I'd say this; I've currently only watched the first part of this film and to my mind what I've seen so far seems to debunk religion(s) rather than support them. At first glance I, too, was pessemistic and wonderd if this was just more manipulation. At this point I'm still not sure. If they ask me to join up at the end then I'll know it was made by something like L. Ron Hubbards lot.....

Yes Scrit as you say the film is very markedly an effort to debunk (particularly) organised religion and in it's later stages it attempts to tie big business, organised religion and 9/11 conspiracy theory all together. I'm not suggesting that the film is any good or even correct in it's message. But it does seem to have been misinterpreted by some to the extent that one wonders whether they were watching the same film.
