come here and it's rubbish at a big price :? and of course paper cups

It's sad how many places you go to now where, if you order a coffee, they just shove a cup under a vending machine and fill it with something vaguely brownish that doesn't even taste like instant, let alone real coffee. I always check first, and I do get some strange looks when I refuse to buy it.

My wife and I seriously considered setting up a Campaign for Real Coffee, along similar lines to the Campaign for Real Ale and Campaign for Real Bread (anyone else remember that one?), but we simply don't have the time.

but will you get sponsored by starbucks dave

it's true it is easier to get an ALMOST decent cup of tea out now.
as long as it isn't twinings tea bags. amazing how many foreigners think twinings is the biggest selling tea in the uk. because it is exported so much.

You can't beat a double expresso (and a Grappa  ) in a good Italian restaurant :D

I've actually never had one! In Norwich I know where to go to get a decent cup, so I've never been in. The chain pubs didn't do much for real ale, IMO, so I tend to avoid chain coffee shops too.

Reminds me. Many moons ago I was a motorcycle courier in London. One of our accounts was a tea importer on Upper Thames Street. Fantastic building inside - oak panels, leather Chesterfields. You could just sense the history as soon as you walked through the door. Sometimes I would arrive there in the winter and they would take pity and offer me a cup of tea. I'd be standing there in full winter bike gear, dripping water on the floor, drinking a fresh cup of tea from a bone china teaset. It always seemed so odd :D

I wouldn't waste your time - just took a quick peek and it appears to be the god squad proseletising again. Why do they need to do that?

Sorry if you didn't like the 'quick peek', but I did say you need to watch it all, particularly parts 2 & 3 to get the full picture, it is just someones opinion after doing their research.

Did anyone give it a chance to run?

Cheers

:)

Wot? You sayin' I wus wrong? Being the unfortunate child of a Jehovah's Witness I can usually spot similar bigotry, i.e. Mormons, Scientologists, Seventh Day Adventists, etc. at a 200 paces. Perhaps the radar might get a service if I could be assured that picture of the Holy Bible I saw on fast forward was a mirage. If it was a mirage then I think I might ask leave of the Pope to claim a miracle.

Now where could I fit the shrine? And what's the going rate for entry these days? Oh decisions, decisions!

So you took a 'quick peek' at a two hour movie, saw an image of the bible on fast forward, and decided it's the 'god squad proseletising again'.
In other words you've come to your conclusion without bothering to check the facts.
No change there, then.

You have been warned.

Why do you keep quoting me and then addressing your comments to someone else?
