Quarter Sawn Oak Supplier

I have been looking for a good source of English oak for some time and found one guy who supplies quarter sawn English oak at what I think is a reasonable price, i thought i would share my discovery as others may find it tricky to get decent stock too; www.quartersawnoak.co.uk

Hmm. I played around with their "instant quote" system for some 3 lengths of 50mm x 200mm x 1800mm PAR ( 2" x 8" x 6' ), and it worked out at £347 for 2 cubic ft. Definitely a "measure twice and cut once " job.

I just made a thread and this came up a few threads back, join the main discussion. I'm tempted to try them out.

I purchased machined 22mm x 150mm x 1500mm, 10 of them, and that came in at around £310 delivered. They do supply rough sawn too which i guess will be cheaper as it is not machined.
