Id love to go as i see they have some more wenge but im still waiting for a job to pay

I might go, but I've still got loads of wood from last year. Most of it split despite being properly stickered, but fortunately that's not too much of a problem for someone who works with wood that most people would regard as offcuts.

How annoying that Pugh's auctions are invariably held on Saturday mornings! I like sleeping in at the weekend.

Roger, I'm afraid I'll have to give this one a miss. I've still got loads left from the last couple of auctions.

Gill, interesting to hear that your timber has split. Some of mine has split horribly and other stuff is fine. Can't say I've kept it in perfect conditions though.

Anybody who does go to the auction should be careful. The timber can go at insane (low) prices.

Some of mine split as well and you also need to be wary of introducing unwanted house guests

Bit far for me and anyway I'm skint!

Always get an odd feeling looking through catalogues like this. Invariably some poor bugger's gone bust and everyone's gleefully swarming round his life's work like vultures.

Having said that - some of my best kit's come from liquidation auctions!

Brad

Will be there early on Sat to have a look around :D , hopefull this time will be able to get it all in the car and not have to leave some  .

I'd love to go but I've no idea of what to pay for any of the wood or machinery.

I suppose the best thing to do is go and write down all the prices, as the basis of the next auction.

Schultzy,
Save yourself the trouble mate!
I am pretty sure that Pugh's publish the prices after the auction.
Of course, you have to be there to see what was what!
