The fence basically has three main parts :- fence box, cross slide and bracket connecting them. If you remove cross slide you can see 4 round head bolts with star heads fixing bracket to box these have worked loose and boy does this cause some problems as the fence ends up not parallel to the blade.
Easy fix replace with countersunk head bolts that bite in well its worth a check if you have this saw.
