I get very few of thos calls these days, the Telephone Preference Service si pretty good. It doesn't screen out those originating abroad, not those UK ones where the caller has never heard of the TPS, but I now get on or two a month instead of several a day.

I used to gently put down the phone and walk away, come back a few minutes later. One time the woman was still talking 5 minutes after I'd left! Oh what a larf.
