Do you need to fix anything to the concrete ? You could build a free standing structure inside the concrete walls, each "wall" just wedged in position until the others are there to support it.. Here in France I would use the steel channels that are sold for dry lining with the insulation set in the channels. Something similar in wood should be possible.

I did something like that in my stone built barn, using moisture resistant chipboard rather than ply as the inner surface, it's cheaper than ply and just as practical to fix to. (The joist on top in this picture was because I had the headroom to add a mezanine).

Delighted to see this photo. I was faced with exact similar situation but have used pallets to make the internal walls. Plastic sheeting against the walls, filled pallet spaces with insulation fibre, another sheet of plastic covering that, and finally OSB sheets as the final face. Good one👍

I’ve got 4 of these hanging around the garage getting in the way. It’s the old door mechanism and I’d like to remove it, but I don’t know if it’s structural. The bracket behind it is bolted into the wall panel, but I can’t see any bolts on the right side of the bracket, nor can I see the bolt at the top coming through the panel to the outside.

The bolt you can see on the panel itself doesn’t show on the outside either.

Do you think if I take out the top bolt, things might move?

If it is only bolted to one face, then can't imagine it's structural. Give the bolts a good spraying of a release oil before attempting to unbolt.

I'd be tempted to just grind the heads off instead, just to avoid any risk of damage to the panels.

I would agree, that shouldn't be structural. I have recently taken mine down and it had a similar system and removing it wasn't an issue.

I did this in around 2000, Built a internal frame out of 4"x2" , spaced the uprights so I could put
Insulation between the uprights , The cut glued and screwed particle board over the frame
I used angle brackets into the concrete floor, Also before construction run a infill of sand and cement mix at 45 degrees floor to concrete to stop water / bugs getting in , I also did the same with some 1/4 ply and insulation off a roll on the inside of the up and over garage door. Marked the diagonals with a chalk ping line so I could see where the pilot some holes for the self tapping screws to hold the ply in place.
