worst bit for me was when the vet was explaining how they sliced them up afterwards to check any cancerous tissues .... just made me feel weak at the knees.

First time he's ever been on the sofa, even I have a heart.....

also my mate who owns the local gunroom near me, one of his cocker spaneils had the same op about 5 or 6 months ago the dog is fine and runs around the shop no probs, hey animals just get on with it

I have a male staffy, aged 7 and he is intact, but I do worry about possible health issues....did you get it done preventatively or as a result of a diagnosis?

Poor lad. He'll be back to him/herself in a few days.

This is Alfie a week after he had his nadgers cut off. He says he felt he was in the wrong body before.

Buster had the same problem a year or so ago,
There were small drops of blood dripping from his old boy, turned out to have an enlarged prostate. nuts off, testosterone down, back to normal after a few weeks

Yep, constant problems with enlarged prostrate. Meant he was virtually disabled for 2 weeks each time, couldn't walk, squat etc.
Big risk of ulseration, because we had switched insurance companies he wasn't covered on insurance for it.

Nuts off was the sensible choice, he will now turn into a woolly brown sheep............... which is why setters are normally intact as it keeps their coats sleek.
