Had enough of crochet hooks so did this box for relaxation



The box is hawthorn and the base and lid/ finial are ebonised hazel. It is approx 3 1/2" tall and the box section inside is about 2" deep & 1 1/2" wide

The spotty bits are due to flash photography am still waiting arrival of my photo tent

Very nice shape and i like the way you have kept the other pith cental on the left,gives a nice effect.
Looks like yoiu are doing well with the Hawthorne as all i had split especially on the piths that were left in
But what i did manage to turm was lovely to turn.

Paul: I don't seem to have any real problem with hawthorn. I have had a pen pot split on me but that is about it. I am turning it green so whether that makes a difference I don't know.

Chas: I still prefer to do the more 'rustic' stuff given the chance.
