MFT top definitely a good investment. About £50 from CNC machining suppliers, one in Wrexham I think. With one of those and a set of parf dogs you won’t need a square to cut dead on accurate cross cuts, both at right angles and 45 degrees.

I think they are on ebay from a reputable place for £43 posted. I'm looking at a set of fence dogs and a fence with stop from bench dogs.co.uk.

Accurate, square, repeatable.

Need to design the rest of the bench it'll sit on first :lol:
 
I couldn't do without my bench top, it's a bit over the top with three layers of 18 mm MRMDF and it could do with being a little wider.
And I can't say how accurate it would be for use with the track saw, but for everything else...
