Right so the general consensus is leave the mouth as it is and see how it works. The sole does look nice and flat but the frog looks like someone tried to flatten it with a hand grinder. Original frog and lever obtained with same age lever cap for 7 quid. I'll check my chip breaker is a good tight fit against the blade then crack on with making some shavings. Thanks to all for the advice
