Hello,
Has anyone ever used Pine Soot to finish / dye another piece of timber.
I seen it used on a cherry cabinet on a Japanese woodworking instagram page. The process itself was not shown but the top of the cabinet had been dyed with pine soot and it looked great. I can only think it was used together with another oil but I'm not sure what.
