Hi.
Just ending the restoration of an 63 Wadkin ags 10" table saw,
as described in the thread "another happy wadkin owner".
Few days ago I found another saw !! 10" ags 1976 model...
To a price where I coulden´t say No...GBP 170 !!
So tommorow I going to collect yet another piece of heavy iron cast !
Does anyone know the different on an 63 and 76 model?
It looks like it´s an "old" fence.
I hope it´s with metric bolts.. Easier to get i Denmark..
Planing to restore (again), and (maybe) sell it afterwards.
See pics.

fixed the picture for you ;)

Hi

I have a 1975 british planer/thicknesser (Cooksley make) and it still uses BSW screws all around (the motor frames are metric though) but I believe that wadkin changed to metric screws sooner.

Rasmus

You have got yourself a bargain at £170.

I have a 1979 10AGS which has metric bolts although it has a different fence and handwheels to yours.

You can download Wadkin manuals at the following link:

http://www.daltonsmachines.com/downloads-old.html

The second 10AGS manual listed (5.06MB) looks like it covers your machine and that has metric bolts listed in the parts list section.

Good luck with the refurb.

Hi LynnJ.
Yes I´m lucky this month... But my last saw was 730 + restore costs.
So I needed it !!
I read that Wadkin changed to metric, mid seventies, so maybe I´ll
be lucky again !
Is it easier to get "old" bolt etc. in UK? Where to look?

Regards
Rasmus
