Discovered recently that their antiquated systems can only process ONE bank transfer per recipient a day.

If you send two bank transfers to the same person or company on the same day then the first one gets over-ridden by the second one. No indication or feedback that that has happened...even when doing it via a human. The first indication is when the recipient chases you up

Applies to both personal AND business accounts.

Interesting information Roger.
Mind you I have around 6 direct debits all on the same day and nobody seems to complain to me (except Powergen, which is another tricky problem)

I had a letter of apology from Powergen recently (they had threatened to cut me off), I told them I had had an heart attack and letters telling me I was in arrears when I was not might be possibly construed as attempted manslaughter.
My advice to anyone is do not have an account with anyone who continually makes accounting errors with their customers.

:D :D Well that rules out many of the Uk financial service providers as both my wife and I seem to spend a lot of time doing their work for them.

Roger, Same here.

Just been on the telephone the last hour to indian call centres making address changes for the next 6 months on the usual financial set ups.
They had trouble understanding me as much as I had understanding them,
House numbers etc. were repeated numerous times incorrectly and I have deep concern where paperwork is going to be sent in the next 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's some trip, John. Where are you going?

An Australian forum member who befriended us last year when visiting Oz. has given us the use of a country bungalow in Victoria for the 6 months. Leaving the end of this week.

Seriously, have a great time, drink a few tinnies and I just hope that your IT behaves itself
