I used to live near there, don't know why I didn't think of it That being said, I *think* they only do softwood - won't do any harm to ask though.

Like yerself, used to live in that area and still visited until 20-odd years ago, so knowledge is definitely out of date, but they certainly used to do quite a lot of oak. The other blast from the past is Goods in Mortimer's Cross, but they are even further from the OP. And may no longer be there. Still using the bench with a 3" thick beech slab top from them after 40 years

Thanks for the detail Nev,my problem is getting Kiln dried rather than Air dried but will contact him after in the new year.
