Hi all, Jack here - I just joined after lurking for a few days. I have just purchased a lathe but have not got a tool rest or the fittings (longer explanation hopefully in an appropriate part of the forum shortly).
I have no experience in woodturning and very limited experience in woodwork in general. Quite stubborn and like to learn so hopefully I get a grasp. I am ex Merchant Navy and am now an artist that paints in oils and watercolour. Dabbled with a bit of resin on paintings and would love to try on woodturning projects.
Nice to "meet" you all and I am always open to tutorials or guides for a first project when I finally get turning - probably will be some badly made souvenir cricket bails though if I am honest!
