hello all could i replace the switch on my lathe which is a coronet minor with an No Volt Release Safety Switch . the old switch is faulty (i could fix ) plus want to replace the 3 core flex with an armoured cable so i might as well replace the switch as well . i was going to put the No Volt Release Safety Switch between the power supply and the lathe switch but im sure this set is not nessary .
thank you

Mornin' Tony.

Putting a NVR switch alongside a conventional switch is a waste of time IMO. You don't need a NVR switch, they where only fitted due to H&S regs over the years, but there is no harm in fitting one if you wish to, but fitted on its own and do away with the old switch.

I'm no spark, this is only my opinion.
