Hi Wizer

Thanks for the info. That explains why I have not been able to find it.

Cheers

Tom,

We were thinking of getting rid of Virgin and going to free view as we have an old sky dish that was left by the previous owners, how are you finding the free view service? Is it worth it?

Can't fault it. But we don't watch an awful lot of TV any more.

Hi

What channel is NYW on? It may be that I havent got the correct Sky package. I have SKY sports and the 6 pack but I cannot see any reference to the programme.

Cheers

If it's ever on then it'll be on Discovery Shed but it's not shown in any consistent/regular pattern. Probably the most annoying method of scheduling TV programmes. Often it's on very early in the morning 5-6am. Sometimes they have 'Workshop days' and stick a glut of the woodworking programmes on over a day or a s weekend and then they'll not show them for months. I got so annoyed with it that I just cancelled that package, we just have FreeView (via Sky) now.

Quite true - there was never any consistency with programming - you could come across it on Shed or Real Time. But for the current series it is being shown two episodes at a time between 9 and 10pm on Shed.

Tonight we have bookcases and a shed.

I was thinking the same thing. I bought a Freeview box last year and I don't there's anything else beyond what you get with that which is really worth watching (except maybe a couple of shows on SkyOne, which are due to end this year, anyway). I sometimes wish I had access to Discovery Shed but, as Tom said earlier, they just don't feature the woodworking shows often enough. :p If you like Tommy Walsh though, his shows sometimes appear on Dmax (?), which is free (along with many more hours of fishing, ironically!! :x)

Even our Sky package is pretty basic now (no sports or movies, etc.). So, apart from SkyOne, I don't ever seem to watch anything beyond what I can get from a Freeview box. :)
