Hi I'm going to purchase norms plans for his deluxe router table. I've seen the 20 min episode on YouTube but was wondering if the DVD you can purchase is longer and more detailed. Dows anyone know?

I wouldn't bother, use your money towards the materials for the build.
Watch the episode a few times and make the rest up to suit your individual needs, thats what i'm doing (slowly). Have a look here:

I don't know about the DVD, but the plans themselves are very good. Only in inches, which may or may not be a problem but they are clear and easy to follow.

Main considerations for me were
1
Make sure the top would be a few mill under the table saw top when finished and casters on so it can be used as additional table saw support.
2
Make sure the space for the router would actually fit the router and be able to get my hands round it easily enough
That's why I would build to sizes that suit you, not Norm
Other than those 2 measurements the rest Is done to what felt right for me and get the most out of my ply sheets.
