New tools, job done!

Took delivery of my "household"goods from London. Using ts55 to cut down sheet goods, and create a true reference straight edge, table saw to final dimension and kreg pocket jig to assemble, was able to make a kitchen cabinet style unit in just under two hours. No visible joints. Fact that it's for storing my tracksaw and kreg kit is incidental right?

I put my benchtop Router table on top and it's rock solid. Good job!

No visible joints should probably be "no visible fastenings". I could put a picture, it's not got finish on or doors, just wanted to play with my new kit, and see how easy it made doing this kind of non-fine furniture.

I suppose the main thing I learned was that with right tools / working process, basic kitchen base units can be knocked out really fast, 2 hours was for my first effort, doing a batch would also be quicker.

So when I come do to my new bathrooms / kitchen and put same style in new workshop, then I feel more confident now that I can knock them out very quick, and have more time to spend on making really nice doors, drawers, tops etc...

by working back from shop to office, to kids bedroom etc, I hope to be doing a nice job by the time I get to anywhere people might actually see! (like living room)

Really nice to have the tracksaw, and kreg although a bit "nasty" is so very fast, and all my pocket holes are completely out of sight. Just the mitre saw, decent table saw, drum sander and MFT to go then....
