Hello everyone!
I'm glad I've found this website and forum. I've recently moved from warm and sunny Portugal to unpredictable Scotland (Rosehearty to be exact). Reasons? too many to bother you guys with ;)
I've been woodworking for 4 years, with a hobby style shop back home, most of it in a self learning basis. Right now, and due to the fact that all my tools are still in Portugal, I've been gathering some wood from work (pallet wood mainly but some spalted beech and walnut shown up recently) and doing some small projects for the house. I'll be creating a website gallery to keep you guys in the loop :)
Well... that's it for now. Thanks :)

edit: just added a photo of my "shop" in the attic :D

Hehehehehehehehe I do surf but I'm not the one you are thinking about... I'm older and wiser (not) :D

By the way... just managed to put some pictures of 2 of the projects I've done since my arrival here...

Wee Cabinet for junk;
Woods used: Sapele, Oak and Spalted Beech (from a pallet found at work).

Side table for bed room
Pine and unknown wood (looks and smells like walnut but I don't know exactly).

All of it was done with hand tools only. Handplanes, saws and chisels. Hope you guys like it :)

Thank you all :) DickM we have to meet one day... I haven't found any one interested in woodworking here around...

By the way... new free supplies arrived, a load of wood from work... next project is going to be a garden table for the sunny days that hopefully will come by!
