My cooker is a range cooker with a four ring induction hob. There seems to be something badly wrong. As I have said previously I have never used the boost function and am always pleasantly pleased with the speed of boiling water as this replaced a gas Range cooker, this is my comparison.. I shall have to try an experiment based on your videos. I am also amazed by the rather cluttered (to my mind) display on your AEG hob!

This is not a good watch but my other half created a couple of videos for AEG customer service (on request) after our service engineer visit.
We have been left to believe that the hob is behaving as it should. Can I ask, does this look right to you?

Boiling potatoes with water straight from the kettle

You’ll thank me when you realise there’s nothing worth watching on the telly tonight. You’ll have this!

I did the same check with our 8 year old Bosch Induction hob, relatively low powered (it's plugged into a 13 amp socket. It took around 90 seconds to boil 1/2 litre of water in a Morphy Richards pan.

Thanks Johnb80. That’s the sort of performance I was expecting. Our hob is definitely not working as it should. We are pursuing the issue with the kitchen installers.
