nervous new turner needs help

i am very new to turning in fact have not yet picked up a tool in anger :shock: and am looking for somebody in the Towcester northants area who could help me get started, with advice etc

try going on the AWGB site and looking up clubs near your location,you`ll get plenty of advice and help from them,cheers,

Join a club and you will be shown how to use the tools safely. More importantly you will be inspired by the work you see.

quick update, have followed the above advice and found a club in Milton keynes.

Enjoy every minute and don't be afraid to as lots of questions. If you think of a question before going write it down and take it with you.

went to my first "club" meeting today.Made to feel very welcome and got lots and lots of great advice. Met loads of nice people,and had a great time.
