I will not buy anymore tools...
Hi Guys
I have always had a bit of a soft spot for Edward Preston tools and have quite a good collection of them, including a few rarities. Picked this up last year whilst doing a bit of shed raiding, at the time it was familiar to me but i couldn't work out quite why. It didn't have any badges or logos that stood out to me.
Later on whilst carrying out my bi-monthly read of the preston catalogue reprint, a bible and excellent book to any preston or tool collector in general. It came to me why it was so familiar.
Have done a bit of googling and have looked at preston on ebay for about 10 years now, but cant recall seeing another one in the wild. I didn't have much luck with the patent number. Is this just a case of a company rebadging something? As there is no preston markings that i can see, and they always like to whack them on there tools.
whats this badge say then? looks like sovereign but spelt different and then a steam engine Centrifugal governor?
