Please find below my suggestion for fixing Britain's economy. Instead
of giving billions of pounds to banks that will squander the money on
lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can
call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 20 million people over 50 in the work force. - Pay
them £1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the
following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Twenty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new British CAR. Twenty million cars ordered -
Auto Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing
Crisis fixed.

4) They must send their kids to school / college /university - Crime rate fixed

5) Buy £50 of alcohol / tobacco a week There's your money back in duty
/ tax etc

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back
their falsely claimed expenses and second home allowances

If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know. If
not, please disregard.

Regards

Might I suggest that you stand for a seat in parliament, you can have my vote right now, good man and a good idea, it would certainly be an improvement on the present line of direction which will see yours and my children paying through the nose.

It's obvious Mike, through quantitative easing :D

We then just need to change the sign at Dover to read "Welcome to Zimbabwe"

I did'nt see the word "trillion used, 20 million x 1 equals 20 million, or at least it was at the secondary school I attended and as far as I am aware is still the same value today.

they obviously didnt teach multiplication very well

give 20 million people £1each = 20 million pounds

give 20 million people £10 each= 200 million pounds

give 20 million people £100 each = 2 billion pounds

give 20 million people £1000 each = 20 billion pounds

give 20 million people £10,000 each = 200 billion pounds

give 20 million people £100,000 each = 2 trillion pounds

and give 20 million people £1000,000 each = 20 trillion pounds

Just where are you going to get £20 trillion pounds from for this scheme of yours, Blister?

That is some stimulous package..........probably put the country in debt until the 22nd century. I suspect you may not appreciate how big a trillion is, so here is a little video:

I am learning from Gordon Brown

borrow and print money today

and leave the problem for future politicians / tax payers to sort out

and I am over 50  8) 8) :p

You guys ever bought a house? It cost, let say 20,000 pounds and you payback 60,000 in the mean time the bank has another 40,000 your going to pay back and they lend that to to two other guys....it just keeps rolling along. If everybody puts calls on the bank for their money you would soon learn its not there.....

Your injection of ten years worth of the current GDP into one years economy might just lead to inflation that makes Zimbabwes look puny.

Our current GDP is a fraction under 2 trillion pounds. Not only are you suggesting taking all of the experience and skill out of our workforce, but you are proposing to borrow 10 years worth of income and spend it in one year............and you are hoping that this will improve matters??!!!! :-k [-(

Go on, Blister....there are elections coming up!!! Put your balls on the block and stand, with this as your manifesto.

Mike

Me, I'll settle for an MP's expense account for my old age.
They can keep my pension!
