As some of you may know, I took on a new job about a month ago. Here's two pictures of some work I've done.

Above, unfortunatley I cannot say I made the worktop or fitted it, as this is part of a job that was well underway in the workshop before I was employed by them, however I have been up in Leeds for the last 2 weeks giving the worktops the "sparkle" with Morrells ezeoil. Some people may remember I asked on the general forum for advice on how best to do this. There was about 50-70 worktops that required sanding and oiling.

Above, is a job that I have been working on for about a month! Hundreds and hundreds of these pippers, there are also trestle tables being constructed. There nothing much to look at really, but if you happen to go to a garden centre you may see them, we've done them for a nationwide company. I am going back to the workshop tomorrow after a 2 week break in Leeds  we may still be working on these! (If you look on the right of the photo, the spray booth is there, where these will be getting sprayed with a white wash)

Well thats it really, nothing too exciting... however once we get the garden centres job out of the way, I have been told I'll be let loose on some counters and bespoke kitchens! The work so far hasn't been too challenging, but it's settled me in nicely to get to know the place, the people and the machines :)

Good work Simon. To be perfectly honest, that all looks enjoyable to me. You try sitting at a desk all day!

They are bamboo, I think they have been made up sort of the same way to block board would be. The worktop were ordered in as solid worktop and all the cuttings were done on a CNC machine, the project had a total of about 170 apartments.

Reading between the lines a bit I get the impression that your new job is OK!, nothing freaking you out etc.. Nice to hear.
