Ok, picture this. You're sitting in a hotel room in Frankfurt. It's Monday evening and you won't be home until Friday night.

You've got a brand new cross-cut carcass saw from Mike Wenzloff (that a kind friend has hand carried from the states). What piece of hotel furniture would you be most tempted to try the saw on? What would be most discreet? Is it even morally acceptable to saw up hotel furniture?

Frankfurt is the banking capital of Germany. It is not morally acceptable to cut hotel room furniture, the exception being when the hotel room is in Frankfurt.

if you sawed an inch (25.4mm) off the bottom of everything in the room nobody would notice - and if they did then they'd just think that they'd grown a bit  One time we were given the most horrible oil painting when we visited a project and what was worse the paint was still wet. in the end decided to hide it under the bed in the hotel - took 2 of us to lift it. wonder if it is still there

do i hear that old echo "morals in germany???"
or is that too political :?

just lust after the saw it must be the way to go.

paul

You could go to a bakery and buy a loaf of pumpernickel and slice yourself a sandwich. :D Might even try to dovetail a breadbox if you think your up to a challenge.

Or were you hoping someone would ask if you have a new saw so you could post some pictures of it?

It's true. Some of that German bread is hard as lignum vitae.

Phil,

Well, now it's Friday. What about pics of your hotel room and the furniture or rather its remains :D ?

Regards
Philipp (60 km south of Frankfurt and during this week always wondering about a strange noise in the air that wasn't there before, somewhat like a subdued snoring, or sawing or something similar with sudden screams of delight or ecstasy in between...)

Funny, Steve, yes, Bensheim  ! Wasn't aware that my little town had companies doing business so internationally reaching even as far as Togo - wow! Sirona?

Regards
Philipp
